Wedding

You stand,  a proud groom smiling in anticipation

I wait outside the doors and can only hear the music

Your Spirit holds me strong and proud ready to give me over

I can feel his confidence flow from him to me,

boldness over takes me

My dress, pure white, shows my readiness to enter your presence

The door opens and our song plays

My eyes immediately search for your face with urgency and desperation like a lighthouse amidst a storm

Once I have found it I gaze intensely, memorizing it's every line and curve

The world that is seated in the pews, fades away, my focus is on you alone

I knew them once but they now are so separated from me I have no relation to them

I am only gazing

I am only memorizing

The steps to the alter seem so slow and long, yet I am not deterred

I continue gazing and memorizing and with each step I know more of you

For when we are united I will fully know you

Salvation

I see them standing in crowds surrounded by flames

I try to warn them

I try to show them the light

They are blind to both the flames and the light

How could they, do they not feel the heat?

The light is so bright no one can deny it

Knowledge floods my mind , I see him

He has blindfolds over their eyes, this too they are oblivious to

I try to pry them off but am not strong enough

They push me away with looks of hatred painted on their faces. 

he laughes, mocking my failure

I return with a smile

For I may have failed but I know one who is the Conqueror,

I put Him on as my armor and destroy the enemy.
